Kawon Kim

Kawon Kim is a junior at South Eugene High School in Eugene, OR and has been playing clarinet for over six years. She plays in the Eugene Springfield Youth Orchestra, the Platypus Clarinet Choir, and regularly attends honor ensembles like All-State Wind Ensemble (2022, 2023), All-State Orchestra (2024), and All-Northwest Orchestra (2023). She has participated in WIBC for two consecutive years. Outside of practicing, Kawon enjoys volunteering as a math tutor and camp instructor, watching Korean shows, and spending time with her family. After high school, Kawon plans on studying fields related to STEM and becoming a researcher in science.
