Katie Hu

Katie Hu is a junior from Issaquah High School in Washington and has been playing flute since she was 11 years old. Since then she has earned numerous awards, including first place in the 2023 Performing Arts Festival of the Eastside, gold medal in the Russian Chamber Music Foundation of Seattle Competition, gold medal ensemble in the Virtuoso Artists Festival in 2022, and more. Katie also enjoys playing in ensembles, serving as a flute and piccolo player in the Evergreen Philharmonic, along with having attended WIBC for two years. Outside of music, she also enjoys dancing, visiting cafes, and sleeping, and she hopes to enter the field of computer science in the future.
